Birthday Weekend

Disclaimer: May include content not suitable for children!

I don't want to alarm anyone but I just had the most amazing weekend. Pull up a chair and let me tell you all about it. I finished the purse. That's right. I knitted the rest of the purse. Here are the pictures.

I hope the handles don't stretch out or fall off. We shall see about that.

Ok, enough about that, now the reason I had such a good weekend. I have mentioned in the past that I have migraine headaches. Well, I usually don't like to talk about it...But for most of my life I have had a headache. For seven days straight I have not had a headache or migraine headache. I feel like I just woke up from a coma. I feel fabulous! The secret is to get a doctor who cares. By the way this is for all the quacks that thought I was making it up.

Shelly decided to get in on the action too!

Yup. Making it up. Anyway I feel Feel freekin good. Ya'll have a good week ...And...I..Really don't know what to do that I don't have a headache. Yipeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!P. S. I already made a birthday wish and had a birthday cake. And no I don't wish and tell!

Maybe Next Year

Well, it is a sad day for all the men in the south. The Colts are not going to the Superbowl. Peyton Manning just couldn't get the team the last touchdown they needed. As I watched the game on TV, I never saw such sad losers. A note of sarcasm from me, I might need a tissue because a tear is forming in the corner of my eye. I just had to write a few lines about it ***Yawn*** my husband and his family LOVE football. Me, I couldn't tell you the first thing about it other than the players look like a bunch of beefcakes and the cheerleaders well I don't want to offend anyone. Although I probably just did, I hear football is like an institution or something right? OK. It's all meant in good fun. Here are a couple of pics from the game from today and football eyecandy.

2006

Well, Happy belated New Year. As I reflect on the past year, I think about the resolutions I made for last year and how I measured up. Ok let's go through them:

  • You do not have to say it, I am a PROCRASTINATOR. I have done better but there is always room for improvement. I am not a fast knitter( this is obvious) I am still working on the purse from Nov. And I have yet to sew beads on the poncho I knitted in Oct.(although it has not been cold enough to wear it) It is January and it was 80 freakin' degrees the other day.

Left picture is the purse sewn together. I still need to pick a fabric for the inside and sew it. Right picture is the strap.

  • Last year I said I was going to start what I finish. I tend to start a million things and never finish anything. I did better but...You know the drill....I actually did do better at this but because I procrastinate it takes me forever now to finish anything. I so frustrate myself!
  • Be healthier. This is a day to day struggle for me. There are so many things wrong I won't bore you with the details. Although it can be a contributing factor in why I procrastinate. Even when the doc say you need to exercise or you are going to have a stroke exercising still sucks!
  • The list could go on and on and on but I think I will stop myself here.

There are things are want to do, goals and project I want to achieve. But I also wish I could win the Lottery too! So, the only resolution for 2006 I will make is that I am not going to make any.

I just want to have the best year ever.

P.S. Maybe knit more often hehe.
